Why it says it's not available
Both assistants have a built-in way to read Apple Health from their iPhone app, and both are limited to the US. OpenAI launched Health in ChatGPT for US users aged 18 and over, and its January beta had already left out the European Economic Area, Switzerland and the UK. Claude's Apple Health option is a beta for Pro and Max subscribers in the US.
HealthAPI doesn't use either of them. It syncs Apple Health from your iPhone to your own account, and Claude or ChatGPT connect to it as a connector or plugin, a feature that isn't tied to the US.

Questions
Is ChatGPT Health available in the UK?
Not as of October 2026. OpenAI offers Health in ChatGPT, which connects Apple Health from the ChatGPT iPhone app, in the US only, and its first beta also left out the European Economic Area and Switzerland. HealthAPI works in ChatGPT in the UK: add it as a custom plugin on chatgpt.com with ChatGPT Plus or higher.
Can I use Claude with Apple Health in Canada, Australia or India?
Yes, with HealthAPI. Claude's own Apple Health option is a US beta for Pro and Max, but HealthAPI is in Claude's connector directory for every country and every plan where you can use Claude, including Free. It is already in use with Claude in Europe and Asia.
Why does ChatGPT say Health isn't available in my country?
Because Health in ChatGPT is OpenAI's own feature and it has launched in the US only. Custom plugins are a separate ChatGPT feature, so HealthAPI can still connect where Health can't, on Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise or Edu.
Is HealthAPI on the App Store in my country?
Very likely: it is listed in every App Store country we checked, including the UK, Ireland, Germany, France, Switzerland, Canada, Australia, India, Japan and Brazil. The App Store shows the price in your currency.
Do I need a VPN or a US account?
No. HealthAPI doesn't depend on where you are, so there is nothing to work around.
Is it the same as the built-in features?
It reads the same Apple Health data, from up to 50 metrics plus workouts and sleep stages, but it works differently: your iPhone syncs it to your own HealthAPI account, and Claude or ChatGPT read it there after you approve them on your iPhone. That is why it also works on a computer, and in both assistants with one account.
