View Apple Health data on a Mac or PC

There is no Health app for Mac or Windows, and iCloud.com doesn't show Health data. You can still see it on a computer: mirror your iPhone, use an iPad, export a file, or sync it with HealthAPI and ask Claude or ChatGPT in your browser to chart it.

iPhone Mirroring: your iPhone on your Mac's screen

The quickest way to look at the Health app on a Mac is to not need one. With macOS 15 or later and an iPhone on iOS 18 or later, open iPhone Mirroring on the Mac and use the Health app from there, with your keyboard and trackpad. Your iPhone has to be nearby and locked. Apple hasn't offered it in the European Union, and there is no Windows version.

The iPad's Health app

Since iPadOS 17 the Health app is on iPad too, with a bigger screen for charts. Turn on Health in iCloud on both devices (Settings, your name, iCloud, Health) and the iPad shows the same data as your iPhone. It is still an iPad, though, not your Mac or PC.

Export a file from your iPhone

  1. Open the Health app on your iPhone

Tap Summary, then your picture or initials.
  2. Export All Health Data

Tap it and share the zip to your computer, by AirDrop or a cloud drive.

The zip holds export.xml, every reading in Health. It works on Mac and Windows, but it is XML, large, and out of date the next day, so you need a parser or a viewer app to make sense of it. If you'd rather have JSON, the export guide shows how.

Ask Claude or ChatGPT to show it

With HealthAPI on your iPhone, your Health data syncs to your own account, and Claude or ChatGPT can read it on any computer once you approve them on your phone. Ask in plain English and they answer with numbers, tables or a chart:

“Chart my resting heart rate and HRV for the last 90 days.”

Here's the chart. Resting heart rate eased from 58 to 54 bpm since July, and HRV rose from 59 to 68 ms.

  • “Show last month’s sleep as a bar chart, split into deep, core and REM.”
  • “Make a table of this year’s workouts by type, with total hours.”
  • “Compare my steps on weekdays and weekends over the last 3 months.”

Claude works on every plan, including Free, on the web and in the desktop apps for Mac and Windows. ChatGPT needs Plus or higher. Set-up takes a few minutes: connect Claude or connect ChatGPT.

HealthAPI: Free for 2 days, no card needed. Then an optional 7-day free trial when you subscribe.

Keep a Google Sheet up to date

For your own charts on any computer, HealthAPI can fill a Google Sheet with one row per day: steps, sleep, resting heart rate, HRV and workouts. Insert a chart once and it grows every morning. The Google Sheets guide has the script.

Questions

Is there a Health app for Mac?

No. As of macOS 27, Apple makes the Health app for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch only. To see Health on a Mac, mirror your iPhone, export your data, or read it through a service such as HealthAPI.

Can I see Apple Health data on iCloud.com?

No. Health data syncs between your Apple devices through iCloud, end-to-end encrypted, but iCloud.com has no Health section. A browser on a computer can't show it directly.

How do I view Apple Health data on Windows?

Apple has no Health app or iCloud view for Windows, and iPhone Mirroring needs a Mac. Export the data from your iPhone and open it with a tool that reads Apple's XML, or sync it with HealthAPI and look at it in Claude or ChatGPT in your browser, or in a Google Sheet.

Why can't I use iPhone Mirroring in the EU?

Apple hasn't offered iPhone Mirroring in the European Union, citing regulatory uncertainty. It works elsewhere with a Mac on macOS 15 or later and an iPhone on iOS 18 or later.

Can I open the Health export in Excel?

Not easily. The export is a zip with a large XML file, often hundreds of megabytes after a few years with an Apple Watch, which is more than a spreadsheet handles well. Daily totals are easier: the Google Sheets guide adds one row per day.

Does HealthAPI have a dashboard on the web?

Not a chart dashboard. HealthAPI keeps your data current and lets you read it in Claude, ChatGPT, spreadsheets and your own code, where you can ask for exactly the chart you want.
